Vachetta leather is unique in that it is “unfinished.” It is of the highest quality leather you can buy, vegetable tanned and a full grain hide. With normal wear and exposure to air, moisture, and oils in the skin, the leather darkens over time. Sun and water also plays a role as they interact with the vegetable extracts the hide is treated with. The subtle contrast in tones near the contact panels leads to a pleasant “patina” that is quite preferred.
